Information

MOE has always been committed to making professional coaching skills accessible to those who need them most. The original aim when MOE started in 2012 was that each person who financially contributed was not only paying for their place, but they were also paying for someone that could otherwise not afford to attend.

Our priority is to help young people from socioeconomic disadvantaged or underserved backgrounds, however we recognise that being disadvantaged is contextual and can also affect people at different stages of their lives.

With this in mind, the course is mainly aimed at:

  • Staff and volunteers of charity organisations
  • Young people who are unemployed or under-employed or come from low-income households

We also provide access to people from corporate backgrounds and private individuals, based on a sliding scale (see below).

Coaching skills are all about connecting with and supporting others.

You will learn:

  • How to listen like a coach, far beyond the levels of listening that we typical give or receive in our lives
  • How to ask questions that unlock learning, in order to support people to see things previously out of their reach
  • How to be an empowering leader who people remember how you made them feel
  • How to build rapport and trust quickly with authenticity, creating a safe environment
  • How to facilitate goal setting that goes way beyond SMART goals, in order to give people greater inspiration than they can create alone
  • How to understand your learning journey so you can be more supportive of yourself while learning new skills
  • How to give feedback in the most meaningful and supportive way, avoiding hurtful clichés
  • How to create the foundations for working in partnership with others in an impactful manner.
  • How to do all these things in the moment, regardless of your profession, as well as in a structured series of coaching sessions, as an ethical and professional coach with clear boundaries.

The most common feedback we receive on the course is that it is ‘life-changing’. As well as the coaching skills listed above, on this course you will develop your self-awareness, confidence, and resilience.

The MOE Coach Training Course means that all graduates become a MOE Certified Coach. The course is accredited by the Association for Coaching (AC) and all our MOE Coaches receive a complimentary year’s membership to the AC once they complete the course.

The quality of the MOE Coach Training course is such that similar courses charge over £2500 – except MOE doesn’t. To make this course accessible to all, we offer price options on a sliding scale between £485 and £1.950, based on your organisation’s or your personal situation.

Please be mindful that if choose a contribution at the low end of the scale when you can truthfully afford the higher end prices, you are limiting access to those who truly need our assistance.

We have a strong community built on love and trust, and being honest with yourself and your financial situation when choosing where you fall on the sliding scale contributes to what we try to achieve at MOE. ❤️

Sliding scale options for individual contributors:

  • £970 – I will pay £485 for my own place, and additionally donate £485 to fund a gifted place for a person in need.
  • £585 – I will pay £485 for my own place, and additionally donate £100 towards a place for a person in need.
  • £535 – I will pay £485 for my own place, and additionally donate £50 towards a place for a person in need.
  • £485 – I will pay £485 for my own place

Gifted places are for those who are unemployed, on a low income, receive government benefits or are otherwise experiencing hardship. Please read this blog post on MOE’s two door model to help you assess whether you should apply for a gifted place. Applying for a gifted place while you are not experiencing hardship takes away access from someone else.

Gifted places are also available to those who have been referred by one of our charity partners.

The majority of this work is practice with other participants, which cannot be missed and is a requirement for your (and their) qualification. This practice is a significant part of your training as a coach. The assignments also include writing a case history. Please check your schedule to confirm that you have that availability over the course dates.

The course is held via Zoom and delivered by a training team of 3-4 members. The course is experiential, you will learn by questioning and doing, rather than just by listening. It will require your engagement and input throughout. Each 3.5hr session will include a 15 minute break. Please ensure that you have suitable technical equipment, headphones and a quiet space with adequate internet facilities to ensure you are to participate fully.

Before enquiring, please check the Course Curriculum and Terms and Conditions.

Meet your trainer

Felicity Rose Sunderland Hall

My journey with MOE has quite honestly changed my life personally and professionally.

After ticking all the societal boxes I thought I wanted, I had a burnout at the age of 23.

This also happened to be the time Life Coaching and MOE came into my life and allowed me to ask myself those all-important questions.

Fast forward a couple of years, I moved back to the south of France, left my London life behind, the job, the apartment, the friends and partner.

And I am now proud to say I am a certified Life Coach, founder of FRSH Coaching – Future Results Start Here, a co-lead trainer with MOE, Mental Health First Aider, public speaker, and genuinely get to live a life I truly love and am proud of.

I have had the privilege of witnessing countless individuals discover the power of coaching as a trainer and I am truly passionate about continuing to grow the work MOE does to create a safe learning space where a group of people can get together, be human, and stretch in a supportive, fun way whilst learning skills that will impact their lives and those around them.

With that in mind, I look forward to welcoming you to the MOE family!
