Safer Working Practices
Training and Supervision
The DSL/s attend an approved Adult Safeguarding Course.
On completion of that course, they create and easy to access online ‘Safeguarding Training’ for all MOE staff, trustees and sub-contractors to attend and they will review the MOE Safeguarding Policy to ensure it covers all elements the approved course has highlighted.
The DSL/s will document anyone who works for MOE and keeps a log of when their safeguarding training was completed and the date of the next training. All trainer and HQ Team members must complete safeguarding training within their first month and refresh this every two years.
THE DSL/s will attend refresher Adult Safeguarding Training and will review the congruity of the MOE training and policy before refreshing the training of staff.
Should the designated DSL/s no longer work with MOE – a replacement DSL/s will be designated, and they will use their existing MOE Safeguarding Training to meet the obligations of that role, and attend an approved Adult Safeguarding Course when the refresher date would have fallen due.
Policy Review
This policy will be reviewed annually by the trustees or following any safeguarding incident, legal change, or organisational restructure.
