Practice

Participants are paired up to practise their skills and give each other feedback. You will work with a permanent
buddy for the duration of the course from within the course and a coaching buddy of your choosing from outside of the course.

Following session five and ahead of the assessments you will work in trios to carry out mock assessments for each other. This will enable you to work with more people as well as broaden your coaching experience.

Your practice can be done by phone, in person or virtually. The purpose is to provide a safe place where participants can stretch their skills, take risks, make mistakes, and make the process their own. This practice enables our students to progress to higher levels of competence and integrate the skills.

Additional CPD between training sessions

In addition to the practice, you will have additional CPD which includes reading, reflection time, journaling and other resources where specified.

course outline

Below is a complete outline of the Practice & CPD week by week and the time to allow for each item.

* Your supervisor could be the person who recommended the course to you (if they are a MOE graduate). If you don’t know any MOE graduates, we will help you find someone.

Reading Reflection & Coaching Journal Time includes:

  • Reading as directed MOE Participant Manual.
  • Writing in your coaching journal in your own time after your training sessions and practices/supervision to    capture learning, questions, feedback and reflections.
  • Thinking time to consider your reflections and next steps.
  • Reading one of the books (or in format of your choosing) in the recommended reading list (or other such appropriate material) to deepen your learning/practise and contribute to your final case study.

Write case study includes:

  • Reflection time to consider your learning and read your coaching journal.
  • Time to write your case study.
  • Time for any amendments/revisions once reviewed by your trainer.

DO NOT use AI to write your case study. If we think you have used AI to write your case study, we will not accept it for your certification.

As part of our internal quality audit processes, any case study may receive an independent audit/quality check which wouldn’t normally delay certification, with the exception of AI use.

Practice with your regular buddy includes:

  • Time to practise as per the assignment
  • Reflect in partnership with your practise buddy any learnings from the practice and gain useful feedback.

English Language Requirements

This is a professional coaching qualification delivered entirely in English. Participants are required to engage in teaching, group discussions, coaching practice, written assignments, a case study, and a live assessment—all in English.

You should feel confident to:

  • Understand spoken English and faced paced conversation in a group learning environment
  • Express your thoughts clearly in conversation
  • Write a reflective case study in English
  • Participate in and be assessed during live coaching sessions

If English is not your first language, you are very welcome. However, please note that this programme does not provide English language training. If you are unsure whether this course is right for you at this stage, we’re happy to discuss this with you before you apply.

Cancellation

The MOE Foundation does not accept responsibility for any accident, injury or loss suffered by delegates while attending the coaching programme, unless it is due to negligence on its part. The MOE Foundation reserves the right to amend or cancel the programme content, time, venue, trainers and date of the event. Film and photo policy

We take photos and make short videos of the MOE events and training sessions. We use the photos and videos on our website, social media sites and in news and publicity materials to inform others about the MOE Foundation; to promote services and other events; to communicate important news to members of the MOE Community; and to provide information to individuals and organisations in the wider community.

We take photos and video at events that often involve large groups of people, some of whom may be visitors. This makes it impossible, on a practical level, to obtain the consent of every person that might appear in a photograph or video clip, and to try to do so would be unmanageable. Instead, we have adopted an approach that informs those who come to events that we take and use photographs and have put in place clear procedures to safeguard the rights of those who appear in photographs. MOE foundation respects your personal privacy and we will never intentionally misuse your personal data, information and/or image. To ask for an image to be removed or edited, or to ask for a copy of the full Film and Photo Policy please contact sue@moefoundation.com

feedback and testimonials

To continually improve our services, we may ask for your feedback after each session and/or upon course completion.

Providing this feedback is voluntary, and you have no obligation to write it. You will not be entitled to compensation for this feedback.

We may use your feedback as testimonial for marketing purposes. You will be asked at the beginning of the course for your consent to share your feedback as testimonial. We endeavour to be as granular as possible for you to record what you are comfortable with sharing. You may withdraw your consent at any time by writing us at sue@moefoundation.com

Once given your consent, you will not be notified of distribution if your testimonial is used.

Your testimonial may be edited for clarity, accuracy, or length.

You waive any right to inspect or approve the finished product wherein your name, biographical information, or testimonial may be used.
